Lucy Bedroque Oakland Concert reviews
All Time Low
On Friday, I took my 14 year old daughter to the concert at the Riverplex. The venue was much less extravagant than I expected - in fact, it was the most low budget venue I've been to. I wouldn't even call it more than a patch of grass with a stage (and of course a few porta potties). The bands all played and sounded really good. We the Kings was incredible and could probably have headlined their own show. Lucy Bedroque was great too; their performance was amazing but I could have done without the language and sexual references with the mostly 16 and under crowd. The security was the most annoying part of the show, holding up the show several times to put up makeshift wooden barricades made of rotten plywood. These are things that should be in place before the show and should be safe and sturdy. That was the low point of the show for sure. Overall, the show was good and I would see these bands again.
